I am currently working on a 2nd edition of The Trek to Elysium Chronicles. Those who read and liked the book will like this even better. This version has been edited. Also this version now has an accurate sneak peek into Volume 2. The story won't change at all, but there will be more dialogue and some things will be better laid out, such as Rich seeing Zombie attacks on the news. I explain the ZTA economy in this book at the end, just as I did in Volume 2. The size will change as I plan to issue it in trade paperback size. It will also be an E book. More to come later on release date. I expect this will be better than the 1st Edition as I have learned a lot over the 1 year or so I have been writing.
Why are urban people less prepared for The Zombie Apocalypse?
1) The lack of community. To survive a disaster requires some form of teamwork and cooperation. Many urban residents do not know their neighbors; this makes teamwork impossible.
2) Typically stronger gun control laws in urban areas than in the more rural settings. Urban areas have lots of gun free zones and make gun ownership very difficult.
3) Very little land to attempt to grow crops as opposed to the more rural settings.
4) Over reliance on government. Government controls the means of transportation. Most urban residents have no form of private transportation. This makes it hard to escape. In the more rural areas, more access to alternative form of transportation. An example would be horses.
Did my 2nd of 3 signings in a row that will end on May 7, 2016 at The Bookworm The Bookworm is located at 618 E Walnut in Carbondale. It is in that big mall area across from Walgreen's. I will be there from 1-3.
